COVID-19 Vaccines & Testing

COVID-19 vaccines are safe

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. They were developed using science that has been around for decades. Trusted sources of information want you to know that vaccines can keep you from getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19.  Learn more about how federal partners are ensuring COVID-19 vaccines work.

Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is also authorized by the FDA for those aged 12-15. It was found to be safe and effective in protecting children as young as 12 in clinical trials. The COVID-19 vaccine is free for all Californians, regardless of insurance and immigration status. You will not be asked about your immigration status when you receive the vaccine.
