Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P)

HUSD Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P)

Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) is pleased to announce the expansion of the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) to TK-6th grade students. The district received additional funding through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) Assembly Bill (AB) 130, allowing HUSD to offer more students after-school programming.

The Expanded Learning Program in HUSD - YEP is provided through ASES and 21st Century grant funding. The primary goals of YEP are to provide students with homework support, academic enrichment, and physical activities beyond the regular school day.

ELO-P will now open opportunities for all elementary school sites to have an AM program, offer programming to TK students, and expand opportunities to current elementary school sites. The program includes enrichment components, academic support, and a healthy snack.

Outreach for enrollment for AM and TK students will be coming to your school soon. For additional information about HUSD ELO-P programs coming to your school site, contact Rina Serrano, Coordinator, Before and After School Programs, at rserrano@husd.k12.ca.us

Sincerely,

YEP Management
