21st Century Community Learning Centers and After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens Programs

Hayward Unified School District hereby formally notifies the local community of its intention to apply to the California Department of Education for the 21st Century Learning Centers Program Grant at East Avenue, Strobridge, Treeview, Burbank, Schafer Park, and Harder Elementary Schools, Martin Luther King Jr., Bret Harte, and Anthony Ochoa Middle Schools, and Faith Ringgold School of Arts and Science; and for the After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens Programs Grant at Brenkwitz, Hayward, Mt. Eden, and Tennyson High Schools.

Our applications are due to the California Department of Education by November 16, 2021. We also take this opportunity to inform private schools, faith-based organizations, and community-based organizations of our intent to provide safe, accessible academic, enrichment, and family literacy programs in the aforementioned schools.

Parties interested in participating in our proposal are asked to contact Brian White, Director, Student and Parent Support Programs at: bwhite@husd.k12.ca.us or 510-723-385, ext. 34190.
