Bond Program Update: Tennis Courts at Mt. Eden and Hayward High Schools
Posted 12/1/20

This summer, the construction of the last two of the six tennis courts at Mount Eden High School was completed. With the completion of two more courts, students will be able to have more practice and play time and less time waiting for an available court. MEHS athletics conducts boys tennis in the spring and girls tennis in the fall.

Hayward High School also received major repairs to their existing tennis courts while a long-term layout for the campus is analyzed.

While school-based athletics are on hold to ensure the health and safety of student athletes during the pandemic, the new spaces will contribute to an improved student experience as soon as sports are allowed to resume on campus.  With the completion of the tennis courts for both Mount Eden and Hayward High this past summer, along with the existing Tennyson High tennis courts, each of our comprehensive high schools can now compete with one another safely and competitively on their home courts.
