Bridge to College Class Update

The Bridge to College Class at Bret Harte, Ochoa, Winton, and Chavez Middle Schools has been postponed until Spring due to low enrollment. More details will be shared with families soon.. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide the best possible experience for our students.

YEP's Bridge to College program is the only program in California -  and possibly, the nation - designed to provide college & career exploration to HUSD students beginning in the 7th grade through 12th grade.  In partnership with Chabot College, instructors provide courses, directly after school, to expand students’ college-level mindset and prepare for college-level work and instruction.

Bridge to College allows students to complete college courses while they complete middle school and high school. Courses offered every Spring and Fall. The course and books are free!

 
To participate, students must:

  • 7th graders (spring semester only) to 8th grade within HUSD at the time of enrollment;
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher;
  • Must obtain permission from school counselor;
  • Complete the YEP and Chabot College online application process.

 

YEP Bridge to College

 

Please complete ALL 4 STEPS to register for Fall 2025:

1. Complete the YEP Registration Form online

2. Apply to Chabot for Fall 2025 through OpenCCC Apply Form

  • New Students: Create a CCCApply Account using a personal email and apply to Fall 2025
  • Returning Students: Log in and apply to Fall 2025
  • You will receive a W# (within 24-72 hours), which you will need for the next step.
  • You will also get an email from Okta to set up your MyPortal Account

3. Complete the CCAP/CE Form

Once you complete the form, please note:

4. Log in to Chabotcollege.dualenroll.com (New students must create an account) and request the Fall course on DualEnroll.

  • Go to Select Courses
  • Under “By Term,” Select Fall 2025
  • Under “By Course Type,” Select “High School”
  • Select the course you want to register for and create the request
