Join Our First Ever Asian and Pacific Islander Community!
Have you heard about the Asian and Pacific Islander Community Initiative? We are hosting meetings to connect with our families in the district. The next meeting will be held on October 4, 2023 at the Parent Resource HUB from 5:30PM-6:30PM. Dinner will be provided to families in attendance. Childcare will be available for school-aged children at no cost.

Mission
HUSD’s Asian & Pacific Islander Community Initiative (APICI) celebrates and honors the identity, values, and cultural contributions of Hayward’s diverse API communities. Through this initiative, HUSD seeks to foster pride in cultural heritage, promote cross-cultural awareness, and help preserve unique API cultural traditions for future generations. The APICI also aims to strengthen API family and community engagement and unity, and create a safe, supportive school environment that understands, respects, and advocates for the academic and social-emotional needs of all API students and families.
