Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment Transfer Applications (school choice) for the 2026-2027 school year will be available starting January 12, 2026 and will end on February 6, 2026 at 5:00pm!
Open Enrollment is the parent choice option available for families in the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) who want their children to attend a different HUSD school. Some schools may not have space available in the program or grade level requested.
A random, unbiased lottery will be used when there are more requests than there are spaces available. The transfer is valid for the duration of the student’s enrollment at the approved school.
