Student Ambassadors

Program Description

Student Ambassadors have the unique opportunity to develop and receive training in communication, public relations, marketing, and interpersonal skills. The HUSD Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Hayward Unified School District and the City of Hayward.  The primary goal of the program is for the Ambassadors to collect input from their peers regarding their experiences at school.  This will include the school climate, safety, and academics. This input will be presented to the Superintendent and District officials to inform them of students' successes and recommendations for improvement.

The Goal of the HUSD Student Ambassador Program:

  • Develop critical leadership skills in our students through training in:

    • Research Skills and Data Collection Strategies

    • Communication

    • Interpersonal Skills

  • Provide  opportunities for students to practice their skills through community service:

    • Student Ambassadors will become empowered to effect change in their community
