Congratulations to Kalia Hoang from Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. Kalia was nominated by art teacher Andrew Kirsh for the first quarter Youth Artist Award from the Hayward Arts Council.

Author, scientist, artist Ciiku Ndungu-Case visited 2nd grade students at Fairview Elementary to read her book %22Wanjiku, Child of Mine%22.

Author, scientist, artist Ciiku Ndungu-Case visited 2nd grade students at Fairview Elementary to read her recently published book Wanjiku, Child of Mine.  She also brought her djembe drum and taught students her favorite childhood song from Kenya.
