Summer Programs 2025
HUSD is thrilled to offer a variety of summer programs for our students. Let's make this a summer of learning and fun! Click below to see our elementary and secondary offerings. These programs are for Hayward Unified School District Students, and they are FREE.
YEP Elementary Summer Programs
Elementary Summer YEP will be available at 4 Elementary Schools: Burbank, Fairview Lorin Eden and Tyrrell. Please join our fun camp style program offering a full day of Active learning, games, arts and crafts and so much more! Current TK-6th grade students are welcome. Please see our flyer for more information. YEP site leaders at your school are available for any questions.e flyers, enrollment assistance, and information available if needed.
YEP Middle School Programs
STEMulate Summer is an exciting program for students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. Students will strengthen key skills in Math, Algebra, and English Language Arts, while learning about inspiring careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Students will participate in a Mathematics Achievement Academy (MAA), where they build confidence in math through interactive lessons and hands-on activities. These sessions help prepare students for the math they'll encounter in high school and beyond while making learning engaging and fun. English Language Arts (ELA) classes follow a fun engaging summer curriculum that builds strong reading and writing skills. The lessons are thoughtfully connected to the values of civil rights leader Cesar Chavez, helping students grow academically, in character, and in leadership. Afternoons are filled with activities and exceptional experiences to make STEMulate Summer a fun and engaging program for HUSD students! We will also have awesome study trips.
High School Summer Programs
Students may only apply for summer school at their regularly assigned high school. If you apply to another school, your application will be denied.
