NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to California Education Code Section 47605, the Governing Board (“Board”) of the Hayward Unified School District will hold a Public Hearing at the Regular Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. to consider a charter school renewal petition for Twin Oaks Montessori School and the Leadership Public School. Members of the public are encouraged to attend this meeting in person, via Zoom, or the HUSD YouTube Channel for the live stream coverage of the Board meetings. Hearing on the issue of sufficient instructional materials
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Hayward Unified School District, at a board meeting to be held on October 8, 2025, will hold a public hearing on the issue of sufficient instructional materials. At the hearing, public input will be solicited concerning these materials. At the hearing, the Board must determine by resolution whether each District student has, or will have before the end of that fiscal year, sufficient textbooks and /or instructional materials. The public hearing will begin at approximately 6:30p.m. in person and via Zoom. Further information concerning these materials hearing may be obtained on the HUSD website under the Board of Education meeting agenda for October 8, 2025.

Notice of Public Hearing for Hayward Unified School District Maintenance Assessment District for Fiscal Year 2025-26
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Hayward Unified School District intends to conduct a public hearing for the CONTINUATION of the benefit assessment in fiscal year 2025-26 to fund the existing and proposed improvements of the public recreational facilities and improvements at each of the locations owned, operated or maintained by the Hayward Unified School District.
The public hearing to consider the ordering of services and projects, and the continuation of the assessment for fiscal year 2025-26 shall be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., at the regular meeting place of the Board of Education, located at the 24411 Amador St, Hayward, CA 94544. The proposed assessment rate which is equal to the authorized rate of $28.00 per single family equivalent for fiscal year 2025-26.
Members of the public are invited to provide comment at the public hearings, or, in writing, which is received by the School District on or before Wednesday, July 11, 2025. If you desire additional information concerning the above, please contact the Hayward Unified School District.
Notice of LCAP, LCAP Annual Update, Budget Inspection and Public Hearing
The governing board of the Hayward Unified School District will conduct a public hearing on the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), LCAP Annual Update, and Proposed Budget for 2025/26, in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Section 42103, 42127, 52060, 52061 and 52062, at their regular board meeting on June 11, 2025. The public hearing is called to convene at the Hayward Unified School District, 24411 Amador Street, Hayward, CA at 6:30 p.m. Any interested party may inspect the LCAP, LCAP Annual Update, and Proposed Budget on June 6, 2025, any time between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Hayward Unified School District, 24411 Amador Street, Hayward, CA and may appear before the governing board at the public hearing starting at 6:30 p.m. and speak to the proposed LCAP, LCAP Annual Update or Budget. Inspection is also available at the Budget page.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Hayward Unified School District will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) at the Regular Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Revisions to the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and/or the 2024-25 Budget may then be made in consideration of any feedback from the Public Hearings. The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Budget Adoption will then take place at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. Members of the public are encouraged to attend this meeting in person, via Zoom, or the HUSD YouTube Channel for the live stream coverage of the Board meetings. Per Education Code (EC) Sections 42127 and 52062, two separate Governing Board public meetings, held at least one day apart, are now required for the school district budget hearing and budget adoption. In addition, the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Public Hearing must occur at the same meeting as the Budget Adoption. The Public Hearings require 72 hours of public notice, and both the 2024-2025 Budget and 2024- 2027 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) must be adopted on or before July 1, 2024.
